This policy covers subscriptions and licences for Sahi, supplied by Caresoft Systems Private Limited. It forms part of the Terms of Use; where you hold a signed Order, that prevails.
Use the trial properly before you buy. Install it, write your normal work in it for a week, and see whether the suggestions actually fit how your organisation writes. Sahi is tuned for Indian English, and whether that suits you is something a week of real use answers better than any refund window.
Sahi is licensed per seat for a subscription period, delivered electronically and activated on payment. You are paying for access to the software for a period — the extension, the checking service, and any administrative console included in your plan.
You are not paying for a writing outcome. No fee is refundable on the basis that your team's writing did not improve, that suggestions were not useful, or that adoption was lower than you hoped.
| Situation | Outcome |
|---|---|
| New customer, first paid subscription — you are not satisfied | Full refund if requested within [14] days of the first paid charge. Once per organisation |
| It does not work in your environment — a documented technical failure on our side prevented Sahi operating, unresolved within [14] days of your report | Full refund of the current period |
| Duplicate or double charge | Full refund of the duplicate |
| Incorrect amount charged — wrong seat count or pricing error on our side | Refund of the excess |
| Charged after valid cancellation | Full refund of that renewal |
| Sustained service failure — confirmed fault on our side, checking unavailable for more than [72] continuous hours, reported at the time | Pro-rata credit or extension, at our option |
| Material feature removal and you terminate before it takes effect | Pro-rata refund of prepaid unused fees |
| We weaken a privacy commitment in Privacy Policy §§4–8 and you terminate | Pro-rata refund of prepaid unused fees — see below |
| We terminate for convenience | Pro-rata refund of unused period |
On that second-to-last row. Our Privacy Policy commits that we do not store your text, do not train on it, and that administrators cannot see what anyone wrote. Those commitments are the reason many organisations deploy Sahi at all.
If we ever weaken any of them, you may leave and take your money back for the unused period. Putting a refund behind the promise is the only way to make it worth more than the paragraph it is written in.
Disagreeing with what Sahi suggests is not grounds for a refund. Language is contested, house styles differ, and a suggestion you reject is the software working as designed — it proposes, you decide.
Annual plans are discounted in exchange for a commitment to the full term, and are non-cancellable and non-refundable for that term, except in the situations in §4.
Where we agree to an early exit at our discretion, the settlement is the remaining committed value, or the difference between the discounted rate you received and the standard monthly rate for months consumed, whichever is lower.
On-premise licences are non-refundable once licence keys have been issued, because the software is then in your possession and running on your infrastructure.
Sahi's AI features can be disabled entirely for your organisation, and rule-based checking continues to work without them. Disabling AI does not change your fee unless your Order prices those features separately, and it is not grounds for a refund or reduction — you are welcome to turn them off, and many organisations do.
Sahi runs as a browser extension. We have no control over browser vendors, who may change extension APIs, tighten permissions, or alter policies without notice to us.
Where such a change interrupts functionality, we will restore it as promptly as reasonably practicable, but this is not grounds for a refund because it is outside our control.
Where compatibility with a browser you depend on cannot be restored at all, we will terminate the affected seats and refund the unused portion pro-rata. That is your sole remedy in that event.
Supported browsers and versions are listed in our documentation and change over time. Your organisation's own extension-blocking policies are your responsibility.
No refund is due where an account is suspended or terminated for breach of the Terms of Use — including exceeding licensed seats, sharing seats, reverse engineering, reselling access, or attempting to extract our rule set or models.
Where a suspension is later found to have been made in error, the subscription is reinstated and the period extended by the length of the suspension.
Email [email protected] from a registered contact with: organisation name and account email; invoice number or transaction reference; date and amount; seat count concerned; and the reason, with any support ticket reference.
We acknowledge within [2] working days and decide within [7] working days. We may ask for further information, or offer account credit or an extension instead, which you may decline.
Refunds include GST originally charged, and a credit note is issued under applicable tax law. Refunds are made in the currency of the original transaction; for international payments the amount received may differ because of exchange-rate movement, and we are not responsible for that difference. Gateway and bank charges deducted at payment are not recoverable.
Please contact us before raising a chargeback — most billing issues resolve within a few working days. Where a chargeback is raised we may suspend the account pending resolution and will submit our records, usage logs and this policy to the bank. If decided in our favour we may recover the dispute fee and require settlement before restoring access. Repeated or bad-faith chargebacks are grounds for termination.
There is very little to retrieve, by design. Sahi does not store the text you write — it is held in memory for the duration of a check and discarded. What we hold is your account, your settings, your custom dictionary, and usage counts.
| Reason | Refund |
