Disclaimer
Important information about the use, limitations, accuracy and responsibility associated with Sahi.
This Disclaimer applies to the Sahi website, documentation, marketing material and product, supplied by Caresoft Systems Private Limited. Read it with the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Where this and the Terms of Use address the same subject, the Terms of Use prevail.
Sahi is a second pair of eyes, not a signature.
It suggests. You decide. Every message you send is yours — including the ones Sahi checked, including the ones where you accepted every suggestion, and including the ones where it missed something.
1. General information only
Content on our website, blog, documentation and proposals is general information about Sahi. We take reasonable care to keep it accurate but make no representation as to completeness, currency or suitability for your circumstances. Features and pricing may change without notice. Screenshots and example corrections are illustrative.
2. Accuracy of suggestions
Language is ambiguous, context-dependent and frequently disputed among people who write for a living. No automated tool resolves that, and Sahi does not claim to.
- Sahi will sometimes flag correct writing as an error (a false positive).
- Sahi will sometimes fail to flag a genuine error (a false negative).
- A suggestion may be grammatically defensible and still wrong for your sentence.
- Confidence indicators, where shown, are estimates and not measurements of correctness.
Accepting a suggestion is your editorial decision, not ours.
3. Errors Sahi will miss
Sahi checks language. It does not check truth. It has no way to know that:
• the amount should have been ₹4 lakh, not ₹4 crore
• the date is a Sunday
• the dosage is ten times too high
• the name is spelled correctly but belongs to a different person
• the clause you deleted was the one your lawyer added
• the attachment is missing
A message can pass every check Sahi runs and still be seriously wrong. Read what you are about to send.
4. Meaning can change
A rewrite that improves clarity can also shift meaning. Removing a hedge can turn a qualified statement into a commitment. Simplifying a sentence can drop a condition. Tightening a paragraph can lose a caveat.
"We may be able to deliver by Friday" → "We will deliver by Friday"
Clearer. Shorter. Also a promise you did not make.
Where a suggestion alters more than spelling or punctuation, read the result in full before accepting it. This matters most in contracts, clinical notes, commitments to customers, and anything that may be relied upon later.
5. AI-assisted suggestions
Where AI-assisted suggestions are enabled, some output is generated by a language model. Such models produce fluent text that can be confidently wrong. They may invent detail, alter facts, misread context, or reproduce phrasing that does not suit your purpose.
Treat AI output as a draft to review — never as an authority, and never as a check that anything is correct.
AI features can be disabled entirely by an organisation administrator; rule-based checking continues to work without them. Model behaviour may change when a provider updates a model, and output is not deterministic — the same passage may produce different suggestions at different times.
6. No professional advice
Nothing produced by Sahi constitutes legal, medical, clinical, financial, tax, regulatory or other professional advice, and Sahi does not review any document for legal effect, clinical safety, regulatory compliance or factual accuracy.
A suggestion that improves how a sentence reads says nothing about whether the sentence should have been written at all.
7. Regulated and high-consequence writing
Where you are writing something with clinical, legal, financial or regulatory consequence — a prescription, a discharge summary, a contract, a disclosure, a tender, a regulatory filing — Sahi is an aid to legibility, nothing more .
It must not replace clinical review, legal review, or whatever verification your profession or your organisation requires. Nor does using it evidence that such review took place.
Organisations in regulated environments should decide deliberately where Sahi is enabled, apply exclusion rules to their most sensitive systems, and consider the on-premise or AI-off configuration. See Terms of Use §10.
8. Language coverage and Indian English
Sahi is designed to work with Indian English and to leave standard Indian usage alone rather than converting it to another variety. That design involves judgement calls, and reasonable people disagree about them.
- Usage varies by region, sector and house style. What Sahi accepts may not match your organisation's style guide.
- Coverage of Hinglish, transliteration and code-mixed text is best-efforts and less reliable than for standard English.
- Support for languages other than English is limited to what is stated in the product; unsupported languages may produce poor or misleading results.
- Highly technical, clinical, legal or domain-specific vocabulary may be flagged incorrectly. Custom dictionaries help but do not eliminate this.
Sahi expresses a view about what counts as correct Indian English. It is a considered view, not an authority. Where your organisation has a house style, that governs — and Sahi should be configured to it, not the other way round.
9. Tone and appropriateness
Where Sahi comments on tone, formality or clarity, those are stylistic observations generated automatically. They take no account of your relationship with the reader, your organisation's conventions, cultural context, or the history behind the message.
Sahi cannot tell you whether a message is wise, kind, timely or appropriate to send. It cannot tell you not to send it. That judgement stays with you.
10. What Sahi does not detect
- Plagiarism — Sahi does not compare your text against any corpus or check originality.
- AI-generated text — Sahi does not detect whether text was written by a person or a machine, and no such detector is reliable.
- Factual errors — see Section 3.
- Confidential information — Sahi does not identify or warn you that a passage contains something you should not be sending. It is not a data loss prevention tool and must not be used as one.
- Malicious or fraudulent intent — in text you write or text you paste.
- Accessibility compliance — readability commentary is not an accessibility audit.
11. Availability and interruption
Checking may be interrupted by maintenance, network conditions, browser or platform changes, rate limits, or third-party provider failure. Unless you hold a written SLA, we give no uptime commitment and no service credits.
An interruption stops the checking, not your writing. Sahi being unavailable is never a reason a message could not be sent, and delay attributed to its unavailability is not a matter for which we are responsible.
12. Browsers, apps and third-party sites
Sahi runs inside browsers, applications and websites operated by others. Those platforms change, sometimes without notice. A site redesign, a browser update, an app store policy change or a security control can break integration, cause suggestions to be placed incorrectly, or stop Sahi working on a site where it previously worked.
We restore compatibility as promptly as reasonably practicable, but we do not control those platforms and cannot guarantee continued support for any particular site or application. Compatibility lists are indicative and subject to change.
13. On-premise installations
Where Sahi is installed on your own infrastructure, its availability, performance, security, patching and backup are your responsibility. Our SLA does not apply to an installation we do not operate. Running an outdated version may mean missing corrections, missing security fixes, or behaviour differing from the documentation.
The privacy properties of on-premise deployment — that nothing leaves your network — depend on you keeping it that way. Enabling outbound features, including AI, changes that position.
14. Security representations
We maintain the measures described in the Privacy Policy , but no system is completely secure and we do not warrant that the Service will be free from vulnerabilities, unauthorised access or malicious code. Endpoint security, browser hygiene, credential protection and appropriate configuration of exclusions are your responsibility.
Certifications referenced on our site are held by Caresoft Systems Private Limited within a defined scope and are stated for information, not as a warranty about any particular deployment.
15. Performance figures and testimonials
Any figures regarding accuracy, error detection rates, time saved, writing quality or productivity are illustrative and depend on your text, language variety, subject matter and settings. They are not commitments and are not relied upon by either party in entering into any agreement.
Testimonials and case studies reflect particular experiences and do not guarantee comparable results. Statements about planned features, languages, platforms or integrations are forward-looking and may change or be withdrawn.
16. Links and trademarks
Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement or affiliation. Names, logos and marks of browsers, email providers, messaging platforms, app stores, AI providers and other software vendors are the property of their owners and are used for identification and interoperability only. Their appearance does not imply partnership, sponsorship, endorsement or certification — in particular, Sahi is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any messaging or email service it works alongside.
17. Disclaimer of warranties
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN THE TERMS OF USE, THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT SUGGESTIONS WILL BE CORRECT, COMPLETE OR APPROPRIATE; THAT ALL ERRORS WILL BE DETECTED; THAT NO INCORRECT SUGGESTION WILL BE MADE; THAT MEANING WILL BE PRESERVED; OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE.
18. Limitation of liability
OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED AS SET OUT IN TERMS OF USE §20, INCLUDING THE EXCLUSION OF INDIRECT AND CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS AND THE CAP ON AGGREGATE LIABILITY.
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENCE OF TEXT YOU SENT — INCLUDING A SUGGESTION THAT WAS WRONG, A SUGGESTION THAT CHANGED YOUR MEANING, AN ERROR THE SERVICE DID NOT DETECT, OR ANY CONTRACTUAL, CLINICAL, FINANCIAL, REPUTATIONAL OR LEGAL CONSEQUENCE OF A COMMUNICATION.
19. Governing law
Governed by the laws of India and subject to the dispute resolution provisions in Terms of Use §24.
